The unique and colorful characters of the animal world will come to life through the power of music and poetry at the House of Hungarian Music in Budapest on November 14, during the Night at the Zoo concert, the organizers announced to MTI.

The diversity of the animal kingdom has been a source of inspiration for artists for centuries, including Saint-Saëns and János Lackfi. The József Attila Award-winning poet has written poems to accompany the iconic composition The Carnival of the Animals by the French composer, which he will personally recite for the audience, according to the statement.

They added that the concert, part of the MVM Classic&Club series, will feature Kossuth Award-winning pianist János Balázs and the A’la cARTe Chamber Ensemble of the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra, performing The Carnival of the Animals along with works by Rimszky-Korsakov, Rameau, and Mussorgsky, among others, all inspired by similar themes.

During the concert, Junior Prima Award-winning trumpeter Dénes Seidl, host of Bartók Radio, will guide the audience through the evening.

The statement also recalled that the MVM Classic&Club series, launched this year, focuses on bringing together classical music and high-quality pop music.
