Changes in Budapest’s transportation due to the clock adjustment

On the night of October 26th to 27th, from Saturday to Sunday, we will switch from daylight saving time to standard time, meaning the clocks should be set back from 3:00 AM to 2:00 AM. Due to the time change, most night routes will operate unchanged during the early hours.

Between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM, services will run according to both summer and winter times, including those with hourly, half-hourly, or more frequent intervals: tram 6, buses 200E, 901, 907, 908, 908A, 909, 914, 918, 922, 923, 930, 931, 941, 948, 950, 950A, 956, 960, 963, 966, 972, 973, 979, 979A, 990, 994, 994B, and 998.

Additionally:

  • Bus 100E: departs Deák Ferenc tér at 2:22 AM and from Liszt Ferenc Airport 2 at 2:15 AM.
  • Bus 937: departs Bécsi út / Vörösvári út at 2:36 AM and from Erdőalja út at 2:40 AM (as a shuttle).
  • Bus 938: departs Csepel, Szent Imre tér at 2:52 AM.
  • Bus 943: departs Békásmegyer at 2:23 AM and Szentendre at 2:50 AM.
  • Bus 948: departs Szent Imre tér at 2:45 AM towards Csepel.
  • Bus 964: departs Solymár at 2:07 AM.
  • Bus 980: departs Rákoskeresztúr, városközpont at 2:18 AM and 2:54 AM, and from Dél-Pesti bus garage at 2:52 AM.
  • Bus 996: departs Újpest-központ at 2:38 AM.
  • Bus 996A: departs Cinkota bus garage at 2:10 AM.
  • Bus 999: departs Dél-Pesti bus garage at 2:43 AM.

The following buses will only depart between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM according to daylight saving time:

  • Bus 907A, 909A, 914A, 922B, 931A, 934, 973A
  • Bus 922B: departs Széll Kálmán tér at 2:48 AM towards Zsámbék, and from Zsámbék at 2:00 AM towards Széll Kálmán tér.
  • Bus 956: departs Széll Kálmán tér at 2:27 AM towards Hűvösvölgy.
  • Bus 996A: departs Újpest-központ at 2:08 AM.

The following buses will operate between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM according to standard time:

  • Bus 940: departs Budaörsi lakótelep at 2:52 AM.
  • Bus 990: departs Rákoskeresztúr towards Rákoskert at 2:46 AM.
  • Bus 992: departs Gödöllő at 2:50 AM.

On some lines, particularly those with less frequent service, one or two departure times will differ from the above as follows:

  • Bus 914A: departs Határ út at 3:16 AM (2:16 AM in standard time) and from Újpest-központ at 3:02 AM (2:02 AM in standard time).
  • Bus 918: departs Kelenföld railway station at 2:22 AM and 2:52 AM (summer time) and only runs as far as Óbuda, Bogdáni út.
  • Bus 922: departs Széll Kálmán tér at 2:18 AM and 2:48 AM (standard time), and from Budakeszi at 2:23 AM and 2:53 AM (standard time).
  • Bus 938: departs Csepel, Szent Imre tér at 1:52 AM and 2:52 AM (summer time) and runs to Szigetszentmiklós. Buses return at 2:22 AM (both summer and winter time).
  • Bus 956: departs Hűvösvölgy at 2:29 AM (summer time) and continues to Pécel, Kun József utca after Rákoskeresztúr, városközpont.
  • Bus 972: departs Móricz Zsigmond körtér at 2:36 AM (summer time) and runs through Tükörhegy and Márta utca in Törökbálint, ending at Nyár utca.
  • Bus 990: departs Normafa at 2:51 AM (summer time) and runs the full route through Rákoskert.
  • Bus 999: departs Határ út at 2:20 AM (standard time).
